hey

for the last week the wipers on my 1993 escort have worked only whenever they felt like it.. and they haven't budged in 2 days

the wiper motor has a plug with 3 metal contacts, one of which appears to be getting power when I test it. other two do not

if someone has any experience with escorts or can test out their wiper motor connection and advise which contact 'should' be getting power and when it would be greatly appreciated

also if someone could upload the fuse box diagram it would make my day

thanks!!!

Well if you have power to the motor thats good, We know the fuse is good. I don't think the motor is the problem. Try testing the red wire at the motor with the switch in the highest setting. IF there is no power Go to the back of the switch and test the Dark blue/ with a red stripe, be sure the switch is still in the high setting. If there is power at this wire and not at the motor It is either the Interval governor or the circuit. If no power on the DB/R wire test for power at on the plain dark green wire at the back of the switch. Here is a diagram hope it helps.

ok.. this is where I'm at.. I opened my eyes and found another 3 wire connector..

that makes 2 x 3 wire connectors..

EACH connector tested with 1 good power source and 2 good grounds

I uploaded a picture of exactly what I am talking about

link: http://www.hidebehind.com/D57B256C/i

to me it is looking more and more like a bad wiper motor.. if anyone else can confirm either way please do

I don't want to be ripping this stuff apart if I am wrong

thanks for any help
