jon i went back out and messed with black/ green wire on pin at pcm its not keeping contact because when i move it around i hear clicking and i went ahead and checked the 7 pin and 6 pin on connecter and as long as i keep the 9 pin making contact i have 8 volts to pin 7 and 6 volts to pin 6 but i still have the high pitch noise coming from pcm with pin 9 making contact. so do i need to have pcm sent back out and have it recheck u think. thanks Ron

You need to check your connection and make sure that terminal is tight for pin 9. Also inspect the wire for pin #9 at the connector to be sure it doesn't have broken strands inside the insulation. If you can keep the computer on, do both checks using your code reader and the key method. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

There is a way. I don't know how that connector is configured, but it should have some type of retaining device that you have to remove. Then you need to unlock the terminal from the connector using a small pick or even a special terminal tool. Code 42 has to do with the ASD relay circuit being open or shorted. Is the ASD relay plugged in? If not, plug it back in and clear your codes out. Then recheck to see if that code comes back. Code 45 is the overdrive solenoid circuit for the transmission shorted or open. That may be what took out fuse #9. 37 is the transmission temperature sensor open or shorted. Check for spark and injector pulse while cranking now that you have your PCM powered back up. If you have no spark or injector pulse, your going to have to check for a crank and cam signals. Check the crank sensor like you were doing in the beginning of this thread. Just want to make sure that you have a crank and cam sensor signal to the computer. If you do, then it is concluded the PCM is the culprit. Gotta get some rest. See ya later. You want to make your voltage measurements with the sensors plugged in. T pin the connector. Don't use more than one T pin though because you don't want them touching. Check each terminal one at a time. Just like in the beginning of this thread. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Time for some "T" pins. They don't cost crap - hair salon or places that supply the hair biz or any dept. store TMK, Tom
