The lights in the instrument panel and the center console that are turned on/off by the headlight switch suddenly became inoperate. I've checked all fuses and CBs and they all check good. i also pulled he instrument panel cluster and checked all the light bulbs. they also checked good. Has anyone experienced this problem, and if so does the entire cluster?panel need to be replaced or is it a switch/wiring problem.

All system indicator/warning lights on the cluster still work as well as the LCD odometer reading.

I'm at a loss for what the problem could be.

Sincerely,

Rusty

Have you checked that the dimmer switch for the cluster hasn’t been turned all the way down? This dimmer switch maybe incorporated into the headlight switch and worked by rotating the switches knob. Or there might be a thumb wheel on the dash panel that you spin up or down to adjust the dash lights intensity.
Just a thought?

Dan.

Dan, Thanks for response. It now appears that the problem is intermitant. I've checked the switch with respect to proper setting/location and it doesn't apppear to effect the problem. Looks like it might be in the internal wiring. Thanks

Rusty
