You need to charge and test the battery and it's connections first, and then the charging system when you get it running. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Well, apparently not. If your car started with a jump start then you have either a dead battery or a bad connection to the battery.
