I have a 97 cavalier with fog lights(which have never worked) I found a clip coming out of the harness which has no wires coming from one side even though both sides of the clip are still connected. The battery drains itself and will not take a charge from the alternator, however as long as I don't let the revs down the car will continue to run but with no accessories. I'm sure I could figure out the problem if I could find a wiring diagram!

Which circuit in particular are you looking for? There are hundreds of diagrams for that car.

I am not positive. The problem(4 wire clip with only 4 wires going into 1 side of the clip and none coming out the other side) runs up alongside the engine(batteryside) with a few other wires going to a sensor in the air intake, etc.

I could be wrong and maybe there is a different underlying issue. The car died after leaving lights on 5 minutes, boosted it, didn't start the next day. After boosting it and driving about 30 mins the car died everytime I let the revs drop until I finally parked it.

That all just sounds like a bad battery or charging system. When the battery is disconnected, the computer loses all it's memory and has to relearn the idle strategy so the stalling could be credited to that.
