This is going to be a real test for you all. OK I have a neighbor whos drl have went out but the marker lights and rear taillights still work and at the same time headlights stopworking alltogether. Now when you crank up the car the marker lights come on and the tail light and the highbeam indicator on the dash. He decide to tackel this himself by throwing parts at it and now that he cannot figure it out he has come to me, and its got me scratching my head also. Here is what he has put on it Brand new from GM Multyfunction switch Every relay and fuse even the diode New bulbs Headlight switch Body control Module Just for the time being I have him light working by running a wire from the headlight switch to the fuse box under the hood. This work fine but still would like to find the real problem just because it bugging me.

try looking under the battery tray,i do believe the wires to the runnin lights run under it.if so in most cases acid from battery corrosion has leaked on the wires and corroded them in two.i've seen it many times on gm models and everything points to body control module, most the time it's a corroded wire by the battery tray.
