98 civic parking lights Sign In

I was replacing my headlights when both my parking lights went out. I've been told by a bunch of people its a fuse because the blinkers and the hazards still work on both sides which means the bulbs are ok. However, using my owner's manual and talking to people. I can't find the fuse to replace in my 98 civic coupe. Any ideas

A few things to consider/check....

Parking lights don't use the same bulb or filiment as the hazards or directionals in any I've noticed yet. If parking lights work in the back - it's probably NOT a fuse, but to find location check the owner's manual.

Pull out a failed bulb and if it has more than two wires it probably has two filiments. You can test a bulb with a pair of alligator clip test wires and even a 9V battery. If a back bulb that works is easy swap it. It's possible that two bulbs are blown. -- test the socket for power and ground. You can get cheap test light and pack of two alligator test wires for under $10 bucks at Wally World or similar stores. You can use the test light to test fuses too! If you want good stuff a real parts store is needed.

You said you replaced both headlights. If one goes the other usually isn't far behind. Question, did you lose both high and low beam on both at the same time? That would be strange. Good luck with the fix,
