98 kia sephia check engine light

I have a 98 kia sephia and the check engine light keeps coming on, we take it to the mechinic and when we get it back a day later it starts going off again, what could be causing this problem???

What was the code? Seems like it was reset/cleared and just comes back on as the problem is not just a one time fault. O2 sensors are somewhat common and can just have a momentary blip and clear themselves if really ok. What was the code will be the answer, T
