Got into my truck and started it up. Runs fine. Put it in reverse and it lost all power and shut off. Kind of felt like the emergency brake was on(it's not). Started it again, put it in reverse and same thing. Died.

All interior lights are good and bright with the door open. No power to anything on the dash but the little light on the shift stick for overdrive is lit up. Checked all my fuses. Fuse #20 (Audio, GEM Module, Powertrain control module(PCM) Transmission range sensor) was burnt out.

Replaced it and tried to start it. Just hear a click and thats all. Tried a few times, nothing. Fuse 20 I replaced did not burn out again.

Then relay 2 (Powertrain control module cluster) started clicking like crazy non stop even with the key out of it. Could possible be relay 1 (Audio) but the clicking for sure feels like it's coming from the 2nd relay. Then it was clicking a slower rate and almost sounded like 2 were clicking (Both 1 & 2) thats why I mentioned relay 1(audio)

Battery is a few months old and all connections to it are solid and corrosion free. So this has been my day off. If anyone can help me I'd forever be in your debt.

I don't think it's a bad relay but the power coming into the relay is being interrupted. Since it happens when you put it in reverse it makes me think the motor movement is breaking a connection in a cable or supply wire.

With the engine running trying tugging and moving wires to see if anything responds. Include the battery cables.

Thanks for the reply! It no longer starts. After starting and trying to reverse 2 times it hasn't started since.

At a loss I did go buy a new relay for (Powertrain control module cluster)

I put it in, turned the key forwards and everything in the system turned on. Dash, fans, everything. I turned the key to start it and it went dead again. Now with the key forward nothing comes on. But with a new relay it did until I tried to start it.

I guess you didn't take my advice.

I did. You said to do that while it's running but it no longer starts. Not being rude or anything. I can't afford a tow truck let alone a mechanic so I've been spending the last few hours trying everything I can find. Sincerely do appreciate you taking the time.

You can still do it. Just turn the key on and turn the radio up loud so you can hear it if it comes on, then go move wires around and see if something causes it to come on.
