I have a 2002 Kia Sedona minivan. It starts but the Brake Light and Battery lights stay on after ignition. Brakes were all replaced 3 or 4 months ago and electrical is working fine.

I had a similar thing happen with my car and I was told that it was an alternator not providing a charge ,or it may be overcharging. For some reason the brake light comes on in unison with the battery light when the alternator doesn't provide a charge back to the battery. I've been told it's an idiot light of sorts. Through my experience, have the alt tested for voltage output (Autozone did this for me for free).
