 Sorry about posting here,could not post in electrical problems forum. Anyway, dtc p1520 was read on my 98 se escort. (IMRC circuit malfunction). I installed a new imrc motor and the codee is still showing. I had erased the code after i had installed the new imrc motor. AAny ideas?

You might check the cable/linkage for any binding. Also un-hook the cable /linkage form the IMRC (Intake Manifold Runner Control), accuate the butterflies by hand if it binks or does not recieve full movement you will have to clean or replace the IMRC. It might be best to remove the IMRC housing and inspect it for excessvie carbon build up or wear, this will require removing the intake manifold. If the intake is removed be carefull of all vacume lines and your throttle cable as they may be brittle. Also be sure to replace the gaskets between the cyclinder head to the IMRC and between the IMRC and intake manifold, failure to replace these could result in a vacume leak. If the IMRC is worn the butterflies will be rubbing the aluminum housing.
However you could still have a PCM failure or wiring issue.
