Can shaft position sensor

01 KIA Rio with faulty code. Took reading on harness to sensor and the following is what I got. Engine off positive to negative is 13.005 k ohms Engine on is 12 to 14v Signal cable is giving me a constant reading of 5v no fluctuations. Is it safe to assume the sensor is bad? Don't want to start spending on parts with out being sure

What is the fault code your receiving? P0340? It depends. If the camshaft isn't turning, you won't see a change either. Does the vehicle run? What happened? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
