Hello,
I have a: 2013
Chrysler 200
2.4 L engine
with 99,660 miles

Recently I installed a stereo, before you ask I did not unhook battery prior. but during course of install I did make a mistake and cut an incorrect wiring group that went to my hazard lights, the stabilizer control(car swerving looking thing). Other than that my install went fine and everything electrical seems top come up fine and stereo does work. The only issue i have is not my engine will not even attempt to start up when prompted. I've gone through trying to troubleshoot the anti-theft, since that seems the most common issue, and nothing has worked. I tried applying power directly to my starter to try to turn on engine and nothing happens. My battery seems to be in good condition, won't respond to being jumped or being charged so seems to have full power.
The only other kind of hint I have is both my check engine and battery light are on and stay on, they do not blink. The car swerving light is also on, but i just thought that had to do with my accidentally cutting that wire.

So you just cut up unknown wires in a computer controlled car and you expect someone on the Internet to be able to tell you what you did?

We have no idea what you did. I suggest you just go back over what you did and then test every fuse in the car with a test light.

I followed a wiring diagram that displayed the wires from after market radio and chrysler radio wiring.

Why didn't you just buy a "plug and play" adapter plug instead of cutting wires?

Yea I looked online for something like that so I wasnt sure if one existed, which is stupid i know but yea. I cant go back on it now. I'm just looking for any possible ideas. I don't need any exact solutions or anything just something to potentially point me in right direction. I've checked fuses and relays and all seem good. No fuses blown and only relays I have are for radiator.

If you are sure you put all the wires back the way they were, then you have to have burned out a fuse, fusible link or module.

It may require a professional level scan tool to find out if all modules are communicating.

I added the wiring diagram just so you can get an idea of the wiring. I didn't consider the other 2 things beside fuse. I'll check fuses again and finally be able to convince my fiance that it is out of my hands and actually get some help......lol

Does your car have a factory standalone amp?

Yes, I believe so. Would that affect my cars ability to start?

No, but is sure would make your wiring diagram wrong.

There are 2 stereo systems available and it appears you have the premium system.

Here is the actual wiring diagram for that model.

I don't want to be asking too much but wherever you find that does it also explain how to set up to the aftermarket wiring? The aftermarket wiring on the diagram i had was correctly portrayed....

That is a factory wiring diagram for that vehicle. Anything to do with aftermarket stuff would come from the aftermarket manufacturer.

The info you have for the aftermarket radio should be correct. What is wrong are the color codes and locations of the car side of those instructions. They gave you instructions for the base model radio. If you notice on my diagram most of the wires you are looking for aren't even at the radio, they are at the amplifier, wherever that is.

I believe i may try to take it in somewhere this seems like more work than I'd be able to perform. I've looked at the dia this whole time and can't quite wrap my head around it

If i buy a new original wiring harness and reinstall my factory radio, do you think that should solve at least a majority of my issues? Like just returning everything back to base

It might. It depends on if the problem is just something wired wrong or if the incorrect wiring has done damage to something. The wiring at least needs to be verified that it is wired correctly before going any further.

You need to be absolutely sure which system you have to know if it is wired correctly.
