IDK whats going on and i heard good things about this forums. I have a 2003 olds mobile alero. v4 2.2 ecotech. 4 years ago i put a 2004 sunfire engine in it. Same thing v4 2.2 eco tech. a few months ago my wife says she would go to work, Turn the car off and it would be fine. She would get off work 8 hours later walk up to the car and hear radio would be on. that happen twice to her twice. Happened once when we woke up in the morning, she would get ready to leave work and the radio was on. I live in Florida and we recently had a little rain storm. Woke up Yesterday and the car would turn over then immediately shut off. Did that all day. Made sure i didn't have any vacuum leaks, TSP etc. Found out my battery only had 165 CCA but kept a full 13.8V charge. So got a new batter with 550 CCA for my car. This morning the car just wouldn't turn over. I went to check a few fuses and i realized the fuse box inside of my Drivers door panel had water in it from the storm. So i cleaned everything Dried it out with some compressed air ect and Boom car gave me a hard time but started after a while.. BUT!!!!! when i remove the key my Seat belt light, Oil Light, Digital Odometer would stay on. So i put he key back in. Turned the key to the ON position then back off and removed it and all the lights would stay on after that. Including the Head Lights, Dashboard illumination lights ( back-lights for speedometer, gas, oil, fuel ect) oil, seat belt etc. Was wondering if someone could help me locate the issues. I'm thinking maybe a bad relay The last think i want to honestly change is the Ignition Switch behind the key. I had this problem in a old car of mine but i knew it was the issue because when i WIGGLED the key the lights would go off in my old car. Not the case here.

Water inside the fuse block. Did you find out where the water leak is? Check the body control module on the passenger side near the blower motor for water intrusion. The PCM is behind the left side kick panel, so check for water there also. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Sounds like some Passlock issues going on too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

In Reply To Water inside the fuse block. Did you find out where the water leak is? Check the body control module on the passenger side near the blower motor for water intrusion. The PCM is behind the left side kick panel, so check for water there also. There is no water Leaking on the passenger side fuse box or the Control Module. Just the drivers side fuse box in the door. becuase the plastic is between the wind shield and the metal fell off somewhere. so i filled it with some silicone untili can get a new strip or a used one from one of my local scrap yards. Plenty of em.
