I have a ford focus 2009, can anyone PLEASE point out which of the fuses is
for the cigarette lighters so I can replace the fuse?

I have been trying to find the answer on the web but I keep finding different answers.
Also found this video on youtube but I dont see any of the numbers refer to cigarette lighters.
I did try to replace the front power point 20A fuse with no luck.
Link deleted ............ not allowed

Thanks in advance for your time!

? 20A is a bit much for "power ports" AKA or real lighters. Just check "operator's/owner's manual" which one(s) cover those. Don't over fuse them either or ever.
Other: It's whacked but don't use ones that will heat up and light things rather get proper plugs for those so nothing falls inside or can, an opinion was a lousy idea to make heat for any reason in those things never mind if for "cigars" was the original name. Separate "lighters" from a vehicle at all are still dirt cheap,

There is a second "power point 2" fuse in slot #3

I have another thread in fordforum and a senior member just told me that the pics I included below do not show any particular fuse for any lighters.Crazy
btw i always make sure the ignition is on before I use the cig lighters

Your picture appears to be wrong.

What you should be doing is testing every fuse using a test light anyway.

No, I didn't mean upside down. The boxes are different from what i got from the service manual.

I couldnt begin to tell you why that is hahah As long as its #3 ill be a very happy camper!
Is there a particular brand of fuses that would be best btw? I see they have sets of different amps.

We are talking about the under dash box, not the engine box.

I had to delete those last 2 pictures. They were way to big for the page.

My bad...poor resizing job. Looking at these two sets...im assuming there really isnt much of a difference in quality between the two?

A fuse is a fuse. There is no quality difference. Just look at the type, quantity, and assortment.

Look for the spots for spares already in the car! Get a dang test light still under $10 in minutes at a 24hr place if unsure it will show which one is blown if any question. Same # replace it. If that blows right away now on to why. Said it 'real' cig lighters they hold yuk, get screwed up with dirt etc. Some housings inside those made for lights you hopefully don't want added to just a power port is better.

Issue is that size 12V hole became the rule for the size of the things. Once more - don't light a cig in them NEVER worked well (shorted out) back to 6V ones - no joke,

Hi again, Yesterday I replaced the fuse you mentioned as you can see in the pic but the Cig lighter only worked for a very short time then died again.

(only the left cigarette lighter worked by the way not the Right)

Keep in mind the lighters have only been used to charge nothing else.
Where would you suggest I go from here?Crazy

What is it that you are charging in the port?

Well I usually have a wireless In car bluetooth receiver FM transmitter radio adapter to pair devices with so I can listen to youtube and whatnot through the car speakers but when it died I had the cig power supply cord charger for my Canon Pixma ip110 using this charger...

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C4BKM7R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I suppose that was the culprit but I have used the printer using that same cord for almost a year now with no problems...so I dont know do you think it blew the new fuse? Ill hav eto replace it with another and see if I can just use the three way usb charger to charge my ipads and phone like I usually do with the right cig lighter.
Any ideas why only the left cig lighter started working after I replaced the fuse?

You're just overloading the circuit and blowing the fuse.

I doubt the cord is the problem, just what you are plugging it into.

Shouldn't both cig lighters have worked after I replaced the fuse #3 though?

because right after I did the left cig lighter seemed to be working fine with the usb charger in the pic before I plugged in the charger for the printer.

Look, you are simply overloading the circuits and it shouldn't take 20 response for you to figure that out.

I deleted your picture as it was way too big.

I appreciate it but like I said they were working perfectly fine for about a year...but thank you for your time if there's nothing other than eliminating the use of the charger for the printer.
