Your highbeam runs off a seperate globe. And the filiment changes in your standard globe when highbeam is activated. Make sure you have check both globes. Do you have H4 or H7 Globes for headlights?

H4 - 3 pin
H7 - 2 pin

& Highbeam, H3 or H1?

H1 - Single pin
H3 - single pin, with wire coming out of it

When you say day time lights. Do you mean driving lights under your normal headlights?
