Electrical fault Sign In

I have a 2010 ford explorer XLT. Every now and again when starting first thing in the morning especially when cold and sometimes while driving the door open light, emergency brake light and tire pressure sensor faulty message illuminate at the same time. Also the turn lights work but dont show on the dash and also the dash lights dont work. This happens about 2 or 3 times a week. Help please with idea's.

I don't have any repair information on a 2010 Escort; they haven't been sold here in Canada for a number of years.
By just reading the symptoms, I'm thinking the instrument cluster itself is the issue. Some of the soldered joints may have cracked and when it is cold these connections are going open. Why I say this, is that there are to many different circuits affected for it to be a signal input to the cluster. Plus if it were a power or ground issue the whole cluster would be turning on and off.
I would pull the cluster and take it to an automotive electronics repair shop.

Dan - may be my eyesight also! Explorer/Escort. Either way the cluster is the likely issue as Dan said,

Thanks for your advise, the only other info is that I dont hear the signal turn light when the in use even though it is working when the dash problem is present.

Does anyone have a procedure for removing the instrument cluster

What are you going to do when you remove it?

This dash cluster is a module in itself. You need a professional scan tool to do some diagnostics before you start taking anything apart and if it is determined to be the cluster, you will need to locate a replacement and have it programmed.
