I just purchased a multimeter. Probaly not a great one but still.

Is there a way to trace were a wire could be broke or shorting with it? maybe a a How to on it ?

You need to put a lot more detail into your question

  • Year, make, model and engine size
  • what are you trying to find?
  • what makes you suspect this wire?
  • How did this problem start?

You should do some research on the internet on how to operate your meter and how to perform electrical checks. There are hundreds of videos and websites. The information to cover what you need to know would take forever to type in here.
