My lowbeams will not work on my Ford Escape. Only my highbeams work, but the highbeam indicator light on the dashboard does not work either. The fuses have been checked, and they are fine. Any suggestions as to what may be wrong? Thanks.

Could be burned out low beams, a relay problem, faulty headlight switch, or a faulty beam selector switch. Steve

Would burnt out low beams prevent the high beam indicator light from coming on?

It shouldn't. Unplug the headlights and turn the switch on. Test for power at the headlight plug with a test light connected to ground. If it has power replace headlight. No power, we need to go further. Sometimes you can find another relay that is the same as the headlight relay. Swap the relays and if the lights come on replace the faulty relay. If the lights don't come on still, then you may have a bad switch or a wiring problem. Steve
