Fuel Gauge not working

I am requesting information on a 1995 Nissan Sentra, 1.6 Liter engine. I purchased a coolant sensor also known as thermo transmitter, which sends a signal to your in dash temperature gauge. However, after having brought the element home, I was unable to tell where the sensor is on the engine. Can you help me pinpoint where this sensor is located? Thank you very much. Mark

Help me here! You have a part for a temp gauge and are replying to a fuel gauge not working???? I'll try with a total guess - the temp sensor should be located near the thermostat. If that's what you are doing you will need to lower coolant level a bit. You can test new sender by plugging it in to wiring, grounding body of unit, and heat it with a hair dryer just long enough to see it that changes the dash gauge. Good luck, Tom
