Looking for the fuses or circuit breakers for the pwr windows/ door locks on a 1988 chev/ gmc 1500. Just acquired this one & windows have no pwr. Interior lights not working, fuse tests good.

The power windows work off a 30amp circuit breaker in the dash fuse block. The door locks also work from a circuit breaker labeled ACC/BATT Also check the fusible links on the firewall in the engine compartment on the passenger side. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

I found 2 30 amp breakers in the fuse box. Both checked good with an ohm meter. Switched them anyway, labeled BATT. Will dig deeper tomorrow. Thanks Hammer

Don't go changing them. Circuit breakers almost never go bad. You just need to use a test light to determine if the breakers are receiving a power supply or not. You may have to go further up the line to the fusible links.

I did'nt mean I put new ones in, I just meant I switched them around. Do the links go into the cover at the top of the firewall? Color?
