I need help.... Alright I have a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder XE 2WD 5 Speed with 166,000+ miles. When I bought the vehicle i knew that the Tackometer and gas gage did not work. I was going to leave it go because I figured that the gas gage had to do something with the relay in the gas tank and would cost a fortune. I recently found out that it wasn't anything internal of the car itself, but the whole instrument cluster. I found an instrument cluster at a used auto parts site and put it in today. The RPM gage and speedometer and everything works great not, but the gas gage is still not functioning. I know that it isn't anything with the fuel pump or anything because when I am out of gas the fuel light still comes on..could it be a wire or something else? What do I do to figure/fix this problem...

It can be tested by grounding the correct wire at the tank and you have to know it's the right wire and only do it for a second with someone watching the gauge. It no doubt requires removing the tank and may be part of a whole assy with the fuel pump so could run into some bucks so get a quote locally - expect hundreds, T
