I was driving down the road this evening when my headlights flickered and then went out completely. The light switch was extremely hot. Since the headlights will still not come on. The running lights, reverse lights, dash lights, brake lights and blinkers still work fine. What is wrong with my truck 88' chevy 3500??

With you saying that the switch is/was hot it’s ether the switch itself has shorted or something in it’s circuit to and including the headlights themselves may have gone to ground (shorted). Process of elimination to find the short; you could start with the switch and go from there. Dan. Canadian "EH"
