Hi all A bulb on my Ford Fiesta 1.4 Zetec (2002) went the other day so i replaced it. However, since then I've had a slight problem: When I press the brake pedal the brake lights comes on (as you'd expect!!) -- but so now do the front lights! (i.e. they both light up at the same time when the brake is pressed). I definitely purchased the correct replacement bulb so i'm really confused what the problem could be. The lights work as they should except for this strange issue. I tried replacing all 3 bulbs in the back light unit but the same thing happens. I've thought about buying a whole new light unit, but i don't see why it would suddenly become faulty through just changing a bulb. Any help would be much appreciated..... Thanks (hyperlink removed)

Try removing that bulb completely and see if the problem stops. It sounds like that bulb is shorting into the tail lights. That could be due to a messed up bulb or socket. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
