Light Bulbs, License Plate

I recently replaced the two rear license plate bulbs, which were burnt black and had melted the sockets. I replaced the sockets, spliced the wires and replaced the bulbs. However, I did one bulb on one day (which worked fine), and finished the other today. Now neither bulb works and neither do my headlights (bulbs are fine) and my electric entenna elevates only half way. I've rechecked the colors on my wiring and the splicing ... all seem correct. Any help/ideas would be appreciated. Tom

This must be the month for whacked problems?? The antennae doesn't fit with the problem here. Probably a separate issue. The bulbs for the back license plate at worst would blow a fuse. Check as you said that the wiring is ok for what you already did. Trust it wasn't rocket science and just blown old bulbs is fairly common. If you find a blown fuse and a new one blows right away there is a short to be found, T
