The Lo beams won't come on when the car is running, they work fine using the manual light switch when the car is not running. Any ideas?

There must be something in the air today as there have been a few real different problems posted. ???? Just a thought to get you started: If this car has daytime running lights try pulling the fuse for them. Some use the low beams for the running lights and GM has usually marked the fuse DRL so you should find it OK. If this makes a difference I would think the ignition switch or headlight switch could be involved. If you don't have daytime running lights I would be chasing down the headlight On/OFF switch and maybe the dimmer. Just some wild guessing to give you something to try till hopefully someone here has had that problem and can lead you right to it. Good luck. Let us know what fixed it for others to see. T

Thanks for the reply. The car has daytime lights, but the Camaro has the amber lights for daytime. It also has the light group package that turns the headlights on when dark. This all seems to work except lo-beam won't work on auto on when dark and the manual switch dosn't turn on lo-beams when the car is running. Mark Vancouver, Canada.

Hang in there - I'm a bit lost with this. There are others who may be back by Monday to help with this. I simply don't understand why it matters if the car is running or not?? At the moment I'm reduced to blaming the headlight switch or ignition switch but can't say for any surety. T
