Main headlights

Hi I have a 1995 Ford escort 1.8 turbo diesel and a problem with the headlights ,the side lights , dim lights, main beam, and flash work however the low/dipped beam has stopped working so far I have replaced fuses, bulbs, the stalk, and checked the relay switch, the fuse box says it is pushing out 12 volts /amps for that function. You push the stalk eorward to get main beam and back to get dipped on the stalk the light switch has two settings 1st for sidelights/dim second for main headlights but this will only work for main/high lights when stalk pushed forward, pull back for dip/low lights and only side lights work. Thanks. Derek

Derek; Just something to check; Many times, one low beam will burn out and the driver just doesn't notice. Until the second one burns out. Could be a circuit problem, but I'd try a new bulb. You can, of course, test to see if you are getting voltage to the headlamp when on low beam. Loren SW Washington
