Melted wires - Electric system problem in Chrysler Town & Country Sign In

Greetings,

Looking for help fixing my electric system in 2005 Chrysler Town and Country .This is what happened.

The driver side sun visor kept falling down so in a fit of anger I ripped it off which resulted in the two wires that power the light in the sun visor melting together and shorting. As a result of this a fuse blew.

After this several things stopped working: rear back up lights, radio, A/C

Went to a mechanic and he cut off the melted wires and replaced the fuse. Still, this did not fix anything.

He thinks that possibly the BCM needs replacing. Also, he doesn't know why the rear back up lights don't work, because according to him these generally do not need BCM to function and he thinks they usually have their own fuse, but he couldn't find one.

Anyway, looking for suggestions on what to do next. Would replacing the BCM be the most likely fix?

Thank you for reading.

Attached wiring diagram
the visor lamps are supplied by the reading lamp driver in the BCM.
Here is a HAILMARY - remove (10 count replace) the IOD fuse sometimes this will reset the BCM - to easy free and quick not to try.

Tried it, didn't work. Thanks anyway. Would replacing BCM be the next logical step? What about the rear back up light, could replacing BCM possibly fix that also? If not, does it have it's own fuse I could replace?

thanks
