My PT CRUISER 2005 RE PROBLEM WITH TRIGGER WIRE

My PT Cruiser 2005
2.4 TURBO FOUR CYL ENGINE. AUTOMATIC TRANS,
106,400
PROBLEM:
this is a hot wire that runs from something that sits under the radiator the wire goes to the starter.
This car has a 2.4 Turbo w/ automatic transmission
" Touring Edition"
The car starts but as you are driving, the engine stops running as you would turn off the key.
Try to start it, it does nothing at all. Miles: 106,400

Unless you have some electrical knowledge and can follow a wiring diagram yourself, you are going to need help from a shop.
