Parking lights on 93 taurus Sign In

Okay, driving tonight, and suddenly lose my dash, rear, and front parking lights. Head lights and brake lights still work, interior lights as well. I checked all the fuses in the under-dash fuse panel and the engine fuse block. They all checked out good. Only other thing that I have had with this car is the daytime running lights staying on even with the car off and the key removed from the ignition. Pulled the fuse for that and no more daytime driving lights, but that's been over a month ago. I even replaced that fuse and still no parking/dash lights. Any ideas?

Hi jwelch
I was thinking along the same way; possible switch?
As long as the fuses were tested and you know for sure they’re good that is probably the problem. Test the fuses electrically not visually; a fuse can look OK but could still be burnt.
A test light or multi-meter is the best way of testing.
Why I’m thinking switch is because the way the two circuits are wired; the parking lights (when turned on) supply the power for the interior (dash) lights. Most manufacturers do this to alert you that the tail light are not working; you can’t see that the tail lights are out from the drivers seat.
