My 2003, Ford F150 Supercrew's automatic door locks quit working. I didn't worry about this because all other things were working correctly. Recently one of our two key fobs went bad but the other worked fine. We tried reprograming it and it would not program. We replaced it and the system will not program the fobs. We have followed the programing directions to the "T". In the past we reprogamed the fobs for our Town Car without a problem. Is there something in the system I need to replace or is this a dealer only repair. Thanks,

Remember, they all have the be programmed at the same time, even the ones that were working because your changing the password. Here is the procedure REMOTE TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING NOTE: - All keyless entry remote transmitters must be programmed at the same time.
- Programming (or reprogramming) the keyless entry remote transmitters into the central security module can be accomplished using a diagnostic tool or by carrying out the following steps.
- Turn the ignition switch from OFF to RUN eight times within 10 seconds , ending in RUN. If the module has successfully entered program mode, it will lock and then unlock all doors.
- Within 20 seconds , press any button on a keyless entry remote transmitter, and the doors will lock and then unlock to confirm that each keyless entry remote transmitter has been programmed. Repeat this step for each transmitter.
- If the door locks do not respond for any keyless entry remote transmitter, wait several seconds and press the button again. If the door locks still fail to respond, refer to Inspection and Verification.
- Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, or wait up to 20 seconds after Step 2, to exit program mode. If a keyless entry remote transmitter has been programmed (or reprogrammed), the doors will lock and unlock one last time to confirm.

Never mind the fobs for now. Will they work from button inside and do they work plain manually? T

The locks will not work when truck is put in gear. All else works as it should except that the fobs will not reprogram.

Then you're going to have to go to the dealer so they can use a scan tool on it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
