Turn Signal Problem Sign In

I have a Nissan frontier. Having issues with my turn signals. Left side (front and back) work fine. Right side(front and back), will flash one time and then quit working. Hazard lights will flash once then quit working. Here are the two weird symptoms:

1. I have noticed that if I'm braking before signaling a right turn, the turn signals will work as long as the brake is applied. As soon as the brake is released, the turn signals quit working.
2. Also have noticed that the right front turn signal stays on continuously (not flashing) even with I'm not switching the turn signal switch. But the light will go off when the brake is applied.

I have replaced all bulbs (front and rear) and both rear brake bulbs. I visually inspected all the sockets when replacing the bulbs and didn't notice any corrision.

Does anyone know what is wrong?

Probably a bad turn signal switch but it would need to be tested.

Is this something a DIYer can do?

Not if it has an airbag, I wouldn't recommend it. Explosions tend to hurt. It would require some special tools anyway. At this point you haven't even had it diagnosed yet. You need to do that first.
