1994 Oldsmobile 88 Royale 73000 miles When I engage my right tuning signal it no longer blinks but stays on solid until disengaged. Used to work fine but I don't know if this -20 F wheather in Iowa is taking its toll on my car...

Logan; Of course, the first thing to do is check to make sure the outside lamps are working. It's not uncommon for 1/2 of the turn signal flasher to take a dump. The four-way flasher and the turn signal flasher are two different units and are identical. The four way is usually the one plugged into the fuse box. The turn signal flasher is usually 'hidden' under the dash, usually on the driver's side. If one side blinks, you can turn it on that side and listen for the click to locate it. Then, just swap the flashers to confirm. Loren SW Washington

OK I have an update, i thouroughly checked all signal lamps. When I turn on the hazards everything works fine. Left turning signal front and back lamps work fine. The right turning signal gives me nothing in the front and back lamps. And when right signal is engaged the dash light stays lit solid.

Have you checked the flasher, yet? Neither front or rear right turn signal blinks with turn signal, correct? Still sounds like a flasher problem. It's possible that it could be the switch, but need to eliminate the flasher, first. It's only happened to me a couple of times, but could be a faulty bulb, where one filiment is lying across the other. Drove me nuts, the first time. So, inspect the bulbs carefully, too. turn signals are run in series, front to back, if you have a bulb that is bad on one side, it is possible to loose everything on the front and back of the vehicle, check all the bulbs, front and back to see if one is blown, if all are good, then replace your flasher, but probably a bad bulb.
