Window problems in 2000 grand prix

I just replaced the motor on my pass side window. The old one had been
out for a while causing the window to roll up crooked. But for some
reason the switches are not working right now. The driver side switch
does not work at all on the pass side window, (it works fine with the
driver side window) and the pass side switch will only roll the window
up but not down. Anyone know why the switches are not working. I think
the pass side switch might be bad because I noticed some of the
connectors were not attached very well but I hooked them up the best I
could.

What you have to remember with GM power window systems is that when the switches are at rest all circuits are connected to a path too ground through the master (driver’s) switch.
When whatever switch is pushed for up or down the ground is removed for that direction (up or down) and power is applied to that motor.
I’ll try and use the passenger side as an example; with the ignition on you will have power sent to the switch(s). Nothing happens because power is not connected to anything with the switch(s) at rest. When you push the switch to the down position you’re removing ground from that portion of the circuit and applying power. Power then goes too and through the motor, back too and through the passenger switch. From there it goes across too and through the master switch too ground, completing the circuit and the motor turns on sending the window down.
The same for up but the power and ground would be switched turning the motor in the opposite direction; this also happens at the master switch when you’re using it to work the windows.
So a break in the circuit anywhere or if one of the switches are not making a connection either at rest or applied the window is not going to move.
Here is a couple of generic diagrams showing the switches at rest and with passenger switch in the down position. The wiring colors are just random colors I used; they’re not likely the same as on your car.
There’s a lot more to this circuit as in the electronics for the express down function and I only drew a portion of the master switch but they should give an idea of how the basics are wired in.
