Windshield wiper problem

Howdy...I have a 2003 Buick LeSabre custom with 167,755 miles on it. My wiper problem started last week. It all started on a 3,100 mile trip for xmas with the kids and then on to Phoenix when the wipers started having problems. It started with the intermittent having problems, but the slow and fast would work fine. Then, only the fast position would work. Then, several hundred miles down the road, when the wipers were not even on, they started to run and would not shut off. After working the switch from off to high to off several times they would shut off. This happened several times. Also, they would stop just about any place in the window, not at the lowest point on the windshield. Now, it is that they will not work at all. The only thing I have done is to check the fuse located in the fuse box under the engine hood. It was good, but I changed it anyway...no help.

More than likely it is the delay module that is failing. I don't have the wiring diagram here, but it is a common issue with just about all GM's. Steve
