battery drain Sign In

what could be draining my battery on 1992 f150 , i charge it up every thing works , a little later fuel pump won,t come on untill i charge again, new battery , new alternator

Sounds like a drain! Put a test light between unhooked battery neg cable and to the battery with everything OFF including a hood light etc.

If the test light lights there is a drain. Pull fuses one by one and check the light. It should go out when you pull the fuse with the problem. It will only tell you which circuit not the actual fault.

Some common buggers are brake lights, interior lights, glove box light, truck and hood lights in many cars, so see which one leads the way, T
