charge 3 batteries with 1 charger?	Sign In

I am leaving 3 vehicles (06 Hyundai, 98 Honda, 93 F-150) in the garage for 6 weeks. I have read that to prevent discharging too low, batteries should be charged every 2 weeks. I intend to leave a charger connected to the 3 batteries in parallel, and have the neighbor energize the charger for 1 day every 2 weeks.
Am I inviting disaster doing this?
Thanks for any advice, I have to have it finalized by tonight.

Yes, you are. That charger is made to charge one battery at a time. Just disconnect the batteries and you'll be fine. Write down any radio security codes first.

I thought so, after posting with pre-travel jitters. If it was that necessary, I could pay the neighbor to start and run each after 3 wks. Thanks!

Three "battery maintainers" ~$21.00 each would solve this and are automatic to come on and shut off without having to be there.

Shut off/unplug any hood lights if hoods left open and shouldn't have to do anything for garaged vehicles for the 6 weeks,
