could it be the relay?

hi all....the fan inside my car that blows heat cuts out after running for about 30 seconds...then I shut it off for awhile and it will run for another 30 seconds or less....could this be my relay? Last week my alternator fried my battery and I had to have both replaced..any ideas? please help :) and thanks

I would say that it sounds like a circuit breaker. They are designed to open when the amperage gets too high.... and then reset themselves. That circuit may or may not have one. Try to get a wiring diagram. does this happen on all fan speeds or just high?
