Was changing the oil filter today and noticed a sensor just dangling in front of the radiator. It's attached to flat rectangular 3" long piece of steel which has a 90 bend at the opposite end from the sensor. I can see that it has snapped off something but I don't know what.. I'm guessing it's some kind of temperature sensor.

I cannot find any reference in a drawing. I need to order a new bracket and need to know where it goes. The 'sensor' (two wires to it) seems ok.

Thank you.

Thank you.

That's most likely an ambient temp sensor. They mount those in the grill.
