I have a 93 Explorer and the drivers side window won't go up or down. I tried to remove the motor but couldn't figure how to get it out. Could it be anything else beside the motor? How do you remove the motor? Is there any way to raise the window manually?

Motor should look like that above. The three bottom holes on the gear end will have bolts to remove this motor - some hard to get at. If blocked by stamped door metal it might need a hole drilled to get a socket to bolts and many that are that way have small dimples indexing where to drill - not sure if that type. Unplug this motor first and test for power at the plug before blaming the motor. It may work if power is available by tapping on the body of the motor - not a fix but if down may get it up one more time. Power to plug right at motor reverses polarity for up and down request. Check that power and ground are properly present and opposite with the two requests. If no luck and window down glass won't move up with motor in place, T
