I have a 2002 Oldsmobile Aurora, it has a V-8(not sure the size, shouldn't matter) I went to start it yesterday after driving it some already earlier in the day and I turned the Key and, NOTTA, Zilch, no power, like someone cut the Cord. I checked the battery ( under the rear seat) and it looked fine( just had it replaced about 6 months ago, still looks New). This car has extensive electrical componets on it...EVERYTHING...SunRoof, 6-way seats, Bose sound system and a exotic computer system that tells you everything if there is somethig wrong....it all was DEAD. I jiggled the key around on in the ignition swicth on the dash and changed gears to neutral and finally after about five minutes I got SOME things to come back on..the clock..radio...lights...but NOT the ignition, so I kept trying and Finally Everything came back like there wasn't any problem. What could be wrong? This is the SECOND time this has occurred in the last three months, but as before everything came back after a few minutes like nothing had happened. What should I do?

1st thing to do is have the battery & connections checked. You can't always tell by looking. After that I would probably be looking in the ign sw area since wiggling that area did seem to have some affect on the problem........

These cars seem to have a lot of trouble on the batt connector inside the rubber boot. Take the connectors off (NEG OFF FIRST /BACK ON LAST). peel back the boot and see if there is a blue crud on the connector ..if its there , scrape off then clean with baking soda and reinstall.
