hi, ive got a 96 fiat punto. its an ancient heap of junk but it just wont die, is so reliable and economical. however the other day i finally came to the end of my tether with the vintage speakers so fitted some 6x9s. worked okay until as i was putting it back in a wire caught the metal case and something went pop. clock and interior light also went now radio wont work! found a fuse box under steering wheel to the right but only for fans, lights, cigarette lighter etc... where is the fuse for cd player!? i thought it might be in glove box but nothing there!? please help

If this is an aftermarket deck, you may have also popped a fuse in the deck. Some units do have replaceable fuses in them but you'll have to remove the deck to get at it..... If you can't find it, make a post in the stereo section, there is a couple of guys here that might be able to help you out or google the make & model #. A user manual would tell you......

But it cant be the cd player fuse as the clock and interior light has gone too! Also i have tried another cd deck and this one doesnt work either. There must be electrical fuses somewhere for the clock, light etc...?

My mistake, thought you said you got all those to work..... Unfortunately I don't have a database for that model....What I can tell you is a lot times there are multiple boxes. Check under the hood, passenger side. Usually there are just panels that are easily removed to get to them.... A few Toyotas like to hide them behind the glove box....
