Hope you guys can help. I realise this forum is for cars but this is a basic wiring question about a bobcat. I have full voltage at the fuse (both sides). When I turn the key to start the voltage drops to nearly zero. Same thing with the lights. I have cleaned and tightened every earth connection I could find. Hopefully someone can point me where to look next.

That is an indication that you have a poor connection on the power feed before these items somewhere. It could be just a dead battery or a bad connection somewhere between the battery and the fuse you speak of.

Have to agree with HT. 1st thing is to test the battery to make sure it's good and then you are going to have to do some voltage drop testing of the power & ground circuits. I've had bad cables before that didn't "look" bad.....

Thanks for the help. I finally found the problem, a dodgy eight pin plug. Six out of eight connections were fine, one had an intermittent fault (wondered why the fuel guage was playing up) and the big red one was pretty well cactus, replaced the plug and BINGO. I owe you guys a beer.
