I have a 2002 Monte Carlo. When the ignition is turned off the battery light comes on and stays on along with the radio, which in return runs the battery down so the car dont start.Could this be caused by the switch,If so ,does anyone know how to replace it correctly? Thanks for your time, Kevin

You have a short or a bad earth. Something in the wiring is grounding, this means the radio get power continuously. I would have to say brake wire is connected to the power wire for your radio, or your headlight wire. Double check that. Get a mechanic to run a multi-meter on them and see, then let me know.
