power window not working
1998 ford windstar 198.000 6 cylinders 3.0 .... In 4/2011 I had the power window motor on passengers side replaced. A couple of months ago it quit again but after a few days it worked again. This happend a few times. This time it has not started working. Even the drivers side switch will not work it. I took the door panel off. There is no power going to the motor when I push the switch. Now I'll admit I try my best but not an expert at this. Also I do not have the $180 they charged before. I thank you for any help.

Check that master switch is alternating the wires from power to ground for up and down action. If not found may be wires in the door jam giving out with just the bending of opening and closing door(s) and at the miles guessing it gets opened and closed a lot but have found that with lower mile vehicles several times is the problem and not the motor itself, T

It's fairly easy to check. If you find dead one it's hard to pull back the snorkel of wires but can check continuity by color of wire to inside wire. They can break inside insulation partly at first then totally and insulation may be intact. If you find this absolutely use fine stranded new wire if your way to repair meant to bend as not all wires need to bend of course so it's different wire. Master switch an override other windows such that if a passenger is choosing up and you if driver choose down at the same time master wins T

Promote your shop somewhere else and if you think for one minute those aren't chinese parts, I have some swamp land for you too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

You really don't know when to quit man. Do you want everyone in the world that has a phone to call yours 24/7?
