power windows misbehaving Sign In

my 2000 Lexus suburban (300) has a front passenger window that frequently doesn't like to raise. It lowers properly, but often requires that the window be fully lowered before it will then raise. When only partially lowered, it will often continue to lower even though moving the switch to raise it. Sometimes, once fully lowered, it will completely refuse to raise, and requires that I turn the ignition off and restart the engine before I can then raise it.
I have tried disconnecting the battery to "reset" the computer, but this only seems to give a temporary fix.
Has anyone run into a problem like this? Do you know anything to solve the problem? Does it sound like this is a Body Control Module problem? Is there another electronic control just for the power windows?
Thanks in advance to all who might provide an answer for me.
Richard
