I have a 07 chevy silverado 1500 pickup, and I am going to replace a combination switch. What i want to know is what size socket I will need to take off steering wheel shaft nut. To remove air bag from streeing wheel, their is a small hole on each side of the streeing wheel, is this the way to release the air bag? Any other tools I might need besides wheel puller, Thank you for all the advice on my problem charlie

There is a special release tool to unlock the bag so it will pop off. Air bags are very dangerous to work around if you are not experienced and i suggest you leave it to a professional. The airbag is explosive and can put you in the hospital. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
