I heard you can reprogram the door locks (automatically lock at 17 mph) so they don't lock automatically. Or if that can't be done, can it be programed to unlock all doors when exiting the drivers door? or have to push the unlock button before the driver can get out, like my chey silverado did. (Old habits with old men are hard to break) I make a lot of stops to load or unload things and forget the rear hatch or back doors are locked. Can this be changed? and if so, anyone know how? It is 1998 Grand Cherokee six cylinder, auto trans.

The manufacturers do have some options in these things but the dealer is the only one that can tell you what can be done and they are the only ones that have the equipment do it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
