I've got a '99 Pontiac Montana van. When I apply the brakes with the left turn signal on, it starts blinking very fast. When the brake is off, it slows back down to normal. Additionally, when I put the brakes on, both turn signal lights come on dimly and steady. Not sure if it's coincident, but the cruise control stopped working as well. Also, the ABS light has been coming on at engine start and staying on. If I turn the car back off and then back on, it doesn't come back. No braking differences noted. Is it Christine...or an easy answer? I checked the battery power (1 year old) and it's fine.

It almost sounds like you have a faulty Multifunction switch. May not be the cause of the ABS light but could cause symptoms you describe . Just a thought Jim
