tail lights stay on Sign In

92 gmc sonoma 4.3l 4x4
I replaced the horn fuse. It turned horn on and also interior lights.
But today I noticed that when I have the dimmer switch on anything but completely off the warning beep thing comes on.
Also the tail lights are on permanent now. The brakes still put it on high, but they wont turn completely off unless I remove the horn fuse.
Any help appreciated.
I tried switching the lights to all the different modes.
It's not the brakes. Switched gears. Parking break. Disconnect horn. Honk horn. Jiggling the ignition around all sorts of ways. No luck.

Don't know if this is the case but some people say to check the bulbs and trace the wiring. Dunno what else to do. Replace the "relay"? Oh and to check the brake fluid.

Yeah, this sounds like a short to me. Gotta get a wiring diagram and start looking for the shorted wire or component. Not an easy fix by the way.

Re: tail lights stay on Sign In

I messed with the steering wheel some. When I adjusted the position of it I think it caused a wire to disconnect or something. So now I guess I gotta figure out how to get inside the steering column and look at the wiring inside.
